Make a video from an image and audio

Many platforms only accept video. Combine a picture and an audio file into an MP4 to share music on YouTube, publish a podcast episode with its cover art, or post a voice message or audiogram on social media.

How to make the video

  1. Choose a picture — album art, a cover, a photo or a slide (JPG, PNG, WebP or any other format your browser shows).
  2. Choose the sound — an MP3, WAV, M4A, FLAC or OGG file.
  3. Pick the video shape: the picture’s own shape, 16:9 for YouTube, 1:1 square, 9:16 for Shorts, Reels and TikTok, or 4:5 for Instagram.
  4. Create the video, preview it, and download the MP4.

Good to know

  • The video lasts exactly as long as the sound.
  • When the picture’s shape differs from the video’s, fill the frame with a blurred copy of the picture or black bars, or crop the picture to fill it.
  • It is encoded as H.264 at 24 frames a second with AAC sound, so it uploads to YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, X and LinkedIn without trouble. Big pictures are scaled to 1920 pixels on the longer side, and transparent areas turn white.
  • Several audio files? Join them with the Audio Joiner first, or cut out the part you need with the Audio Splitter.

Everything is processed in your browser with ffmpeg (WebAssembly): neither file is uploaded, and there are no watermarks.
