Plan a project with a free Gantt chart

A Gantt chart lays out a project as bars on a timeline: each task’s bar starts and ends on its dates, so you can see what happens when, what overlaps and what is running late. Build one here in minutes — no account or spreadsheet needed.

How to plan a project

  1. List the tasks with their start and end dates.
  2. Set each task’s progress and status: not started, in progress, completed or delayed.
  3. Drag and resize the bars to adjust dates as the plan changes.
  4. Switch between day, week and month views, and show or hide weekends.
  5. Export the chart as a PNG image, or the tasks as JSON to keep a copy of the plan’s data.

Tips for a useful plan

  • Break big pieces of work into tasks of a few days to two weeks.
  • Mark delayed tasks early — the colours make problems visible at a glance.
  • For a simple list of milestones, a timeline may be clearer; for brainstorming the work first, a mind map.

Your tasks stay in your browser — nothing is uploaded or stored on a server.
